Chinese buffet restaurants are popping up everywhere, and they all seem to be a little samey, but The Peking Inn in Hamilton (formerly Jade Palace) is a little bit different from the norm.
Until about 2 years ago, this place was the go-to for all family events; birthdays, celebrations, exam passing etc.. and we have never been dissapointed, returning regularly for the lunch buffet when shopping in Hamilton.
It is much smaller than China Buffet King and the likes but it is perhaps because of this that the food seems to taste much better and fresher. They always have a wide selection of dishes available and quite unusually for a chinese buffet, they have loads of puddings. They are always fully booked at the weekends so i would advise you to book early to ensure you get a table, especially if it is a big party.
As usual the drinks are way over-priced but everyone seems to expect this when they visit a chinese restaurant! The lunch buffet here is about 8.00 and the evening menu is around 12.00 which is pretty good value for money. Definetly worth a visit if you are sick of the commercialised buffet chains in Glasgow.
